Summer Exploration Camps

June 29 through August 28. Nine weeks of pure discovery. Each week is a complete adventure.

"Science isn't something you read about in a textbook. It's something you do, discover, and create."

Our Summer Exploration Camps combine hands-on experiments, creative challenges, and pure fun. Each week focuses on a different scientific theme, from rocket science to robotics to food chemistry. Campers work in small groups, ask big questions, and solve real problems using the scientific method.

Whether your child is a science enthusiast or trying it for the first time, they'll find their place here. We start with the basics and build up, creating an environment where curiosity is celebrated and mistakes are learning opportunities.

Camp Streams

Junior Scientist

Ages 5-9

Foundational STEM concepts with shorter activities and more hands-on exploration. Junior campers focus on discovery, asking questions, and building confidence in science through play-based learning.

Youth Scientist

Ages 10-14

Deeper dives into scientific principles, problem-solving, and design thinking. Youth campers tackle more complex challenges, conduct real experiments, and develop their own research questions.

Nine Weeks of Discovery

Week 1

June 29 - July 3

Rocket Science & Space Exploration

Blast off into aerospace engineering! Campers explore the science of flight and space, building, launching, and testing with the kind of outdoor energy that only rocket science can produce. Newton's Laws have never been this loud.

Special: 4 days

Week 2

July 6 - 10

Detective Science: Forensics & Mystery Solving

The case is open! Young scientists learn real forensic techniques used by investigators every day. From fingerprint analysis to DNA extraction, they apply them to solve a brand-new mystery each morning.

Week 3

July 13 - 17

Movie Magic & Special Effects

Lights, camera, SCIENCE! Campers discover the chemistry and physics behind Hollywood magic. Creating real reactions, building optical illusions, and filming their own short movies. The week closes with a red carpet screening of their films.

Week 4

July 20 - 24

Chemical Reactions & Materials Science

Warning: messy science ahead. This week is pure chemistry. Erupting volcanoes, growing crystals, testing acids and bases, and racing reactions. Campers discover that chemistry is not just in the lab; it is literally everywhere they look. Weekly science in the park day and field trip.

Week 5

July 27 - 31

Robotics & Coding

Welcome to the digital age! Campers build robots that actually move, write their first real programs, and discover that technology is something they can create. Not just consume. By Friday they will not look at a screen the same way again. Weekly science in the park day and field trip.

Week 6

August 5 - 8

Biomimicry: Learning from Nature

Nature is the ultimate engineer. This week campers explore how the world's best designs come straight from the natural world. They head outdoors to observe, sketch, and invent their own nature-inspired solutions. This week runs 4 days (Wednesday–Friday). BC Day is Monday August 4 (no camp that day). Weekly science in the park day and field trip.

Special: 4 days

Week 7

August 10 - 14

Mission to Mars: Space & Astronomy

Journey to the Red Planet! Campers design habitats that could survive extreme Martian conditions, build rovers to navigate alien terrain, and map the night sky. All while calculating what it would actually take to live on another planet. Weekly science in the park day and field trip.

Week 8

August 17 - 21

Farm to Table: Food Science & Agriculture

From soil to plate, science is at every step. Campers explore food chemistry through hands-on cooking experiments, test soil composition, design irrigation systems, and discover the science behind where their food actually comes from. Weekly science in the park day and field trip.

Week 9

August 24 - 28

Innovation Station: Inventors & Problem Solvers

The grand finale. Campers identify real problems, design working prototypes, test with real users, and pitch their inventions Shark Tank-style to families and guests on the final day. This week is where everything they have learned all summer comes together. Families are invited and encouraged to attend the final day showcase. Weekly science in the park day and field trip.
