Fall and winter STEM camps for ages 5 to 14 in Abbotsford. Coding, robotics and 3D printing in the morning; hands-on science in the afternoon.

No School? Science! Pro-D Day Camps

On Abbotsford Pro-D days, kids spend the morning coding, building robots and designing in 3D, then spend the afternoon on science they will be talking about all weekend. Mornings run 9:00-12:30; afternoons run 12:30-4:00. Book the full day or just one half. $109 full day; $59 half day.

September 25 — Bots, Blasts & Scribbles

October 23 — Potions, Worms & Monster Fingers

Design a fall keychain we 3D print for them, then mix colour-changing potions, dip their fingers in water that will not get them wet, and make worms they can eat. This camp includes a food activity, so please list any food allergies at registration.

November 20 — Mission to Mars

Program rovers to explore a Martian landscape and collect samples, then build hovering alien UFOs and swirl together galaxy slime to take home.

Winter Break Camp

Two weeks of holiday STEM: December 21-24 and December 28-31, for ages 5 to 14. Morning tech runs 9:00-12:00; afternoon science runs 12:00-3:00. Book mornings, afternoons, or the full day, one day at a time or the whole week. $200 half-day week; $375 full-day week.

Week 1, December 21-24 — Deck the Lab

Mornings: design and 3D print ornaments including snowflakes, name tags and a tree topper. Afternoons: Christmas chemistry with crystal snowflakes, instant snow, fizzing snowmen and light-up circuit cards.

Week 2, December 28-31 — Code the Holidays

Mornings: Christmas coding and robotics, including Santa's delivery route, a catch-the-presents game and a New Year countdown. Afternoons: winter science with snowball catapults, melting ice art, hand warmers and rockets.

What to Know

  • Ages 5 to 14, with activities split by age group.
  • Sessions are limited to 12 campers.
  • Full-day campers bring a nut-free lunch. Afternoon campers arrive having eaten.
  • Snacks are provided. Tell us about allergies at registration.
  • Kids take home what they make.
